About Yu-Chia

Yu-Chia Liu is a pianist whose musical voice is shaped by her double major in piano and vocal performance. This combined training gives her playing a distinct lyrical quality, blending clarity of touch with a singer’s sense of phrasing and breath.

Born and raised in Taiwan, Yu-Chia developed an early interest in how sound, movement, and physical awareness shape expression at the piano. She is especially drawn to repertoire that allows space for color, nuance, and narrative, and she brings both sensitivity and intention to her solo and collaborative performances.

Yu-Chia is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Piano Performance at San Diego State University, where she continues to refine her artistry through study, performance, and creative exploration. Now based in San Diego, she aims to create performances that are honest, imaginative, and deeply connected to the emotional core of the music.
